So today's message from Joyce Meyer Ministries that I saw on television this morning pertained to not giving up and not trying to weasle out of the testing of our faith and character because God is preparing something wonderful for our future. WOW! That was exactly what I needed to hear when I needed to hear it. That is so like God to do something like that isn't it? I am truly learning and growing by leaps and bounds during this tough time in my life. I am overwhelmingly lonely because I am not married yet, but being unmarried is teaching me to more strongly appreciate the people who are in my life whether they be family, loved ones, or casual friends. I am learning that friends and family are more important than a husband and that family especially will never ever ever let me down! Anyways back to what I was saying about being tested: You can't have a testimony without a test Joyce says. That is so true! Otherwise you just have the mony! And no one wants to be around a mony! LOL. In other words ...STOP MOANING AND LET GOD TEST YOU! Is it easy? No. Is it worth it? YES! I really think that God is testing my commitment to Him and my faith in Him by keeping me single. God is not making a way He IS the way says Joyce. To me this means that God is the only peace I will ever receive in the midst of my singleness and better yet, He is all I NEED! I also need to stop trying to understand everything. 2 Corinthians 1:8-9 says that affliction and oppression befalls us all to teach us to trust in God and God alone. Think of it this way: Why am I in a wheelchair? WHO CARES? Whether I sit down or stand up, am married or unmarried, in my coming and my going, GOD IS GOOD! I have learned over the years that whether I am suffering or rejoicing, God is who He is and He des what He says He will do! He shows up right on time! He is never early or late! James 1:12 says: "Blessed is He who stands up under temptation for God will bestow upon Him the crown of victory which God has promised to those who have loved Him." We all have to be tested, but when we trust in God He will prosper us and give us a joy that no one can take away from us: The joy of the Lord Himself! MAN! POWERFUL STUFF! Anyways I just had to share a little bit of what is on my heart and in my mind today. I hope you enjoyed what I had to say! Have a great day and God bless!
